LGC Associates is a fastest growing staffing company in the hospitality industry seeking a full-time, ENTRY LEVEL (0-1-year experience) Staffing Manager/ Recruitment Manager.

You will be responsible for assisting in recruiting and coordinating staff for large, special events in the Des Moines area. The position will require you to have an outgoing personality, and excellent interpersonal, writing, and verbal skills. Approximately 25% of your time will be spent in a recruiting capacity, 50% in the staffing capacity, and the remaining time will be spent assisting in general HR functions of the office (25%).

We have had success with new hires who have degrees in Business or Hospitality, are not afraid of a sales environment, can handle a fast-paced/multi-tasking environment, and who are looking for career opportunities. Looking for someone who is strong with past hospitality knowledge and well-connected.

Recruiter Job Duties:

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters and using job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours.

Staffing Manager Job Duties:

HR Job Duties:

  • Experience in planning and execution of HR plans (on boarding, hiring etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legal regulations (equal employment opportunity, relocation, laws, visa procedures etc.)
  • Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures and best practices
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
